Before arriving at Iowa Farm Sanctuary, Blanche spent nearly five years hidden beneath massive, matted wool. Her previous guardian suffered a debilitating stroke and could no longer care for her. Alongside her companions Dorothy and Sophia, Blanche was living in rough conditions, buried beneath a burden of filthy wool and uncertainty.

Thankfully, a kind-hearted friend of the owner stepped in to ensure they had food and water, and eventually helped arrange their surrender to IFS. Once they arrived, over 100 pounds of wool was removed from the three sheep, giving Blanche and her friends their first chance in years to move freely and comfortably.

Blanche is now settling into sanctuary life, where she can finally stretch her legs, soak up the sunshine, and begin to heal. By sponsoring her, you’ll help provide the continued vet care, nutrition, and love she needs to fully recover and thrive.
