Claire, Cedric, and Casper were rescued from the Cricket Hollow Zoo in Manchester, Iowa. Along with more than 400 other animals, this trio was removed from the zoo because of “deplorable” conditions—and that’s putting it lightly. This roadside zoo was home to bears, mountain lions, baboons, reptiles, tropical birds, a camel, and a llama—among many other animals. We witnessed some of the most horrific suffering we’ve ever come across at this zoo. We’re so thankful we were able to rescue these three, along with Pearson the turkey and Willy the cow from this nightmare situation.

Claire was a sweet little duck who was friends with everyone in our family of birds.
