Django

Django was the biggest of The Liber8ed, a group of cows who survived a horrific semi truck accident outside of Washington, Iowa. Because of his size, he naturally took on a leadership role in the herd since day one. We originally thought Django hadn't sustained any injuries in the crash, but after some rain washed away the manure and mud that covered parts of his body, we noticed a few large lacerations—one on his back by his hip and spine, the other on his front leg. His front leg experienced some swelling and as soon as we noticed, we got him to the veterinarian. Django was always curious about humans. He would let you pet him briefly and even take treats from your hands. He was named by an incredible couple who donate to and visit IFS every chance they get. They named him after the movie, Django Unchained, because he was finally free. "The D is silent."
