Dorothy came to sanctuary after spending nearly five years without a shearing, her body buried beneath thick, matted wool. Her previous guardian suffered a debilitating stroke and could no longer care for her and her two companions, Blanche and Sophia.

With the help of a compassionate friend of the owner, the three sheep were surrendered to IFS. After arriving, the sheep had over 100 pounds of wool removed collectively from their bodies, relieving years of weight and discomfort in one transformative shearing.

Now, Dorothy is learning what life in sanctuary is like. She’s walking easier, exploring her surroundings, and adjusting to a place where she’ll always be seen and cared for. Your sponsorship helps support her healing journey, from medical care to soft straw beds and everything in between.
