Emmy’s rescue almost never happened, but we are so glad it did. After taking in her twin brother, Eli, due to frostbite injuries, we advocated for Emmy’s surrender, too. We knew the two siblings would find comfort in remaining together as they heal and grow up. The reunion between them was so sweet!

Emmy is a tiny bundle of pure joy. She packs so much personality into her small body and loves nothing more than relaxing in the warm sunshine. While frostbite is a preventable and quite tragic experience for someone like Emmy to go through, she is so strong and brave as she navigates her new normal. Emmy lost the tips of her ears and the bottom portions of her back legs, but she has a life of safety and happiness ahead of her.
