Sundance (aka Sunny) was facing slaughter because of a bad leg, until a compassionate supporter negotiated his surrender and requested our help. We learned that the problem with Sunny's leg was due to an infection, and after careful consideration, the incredible team at the Iowa State University Large Animal Hospital amputated Sunny's septic leg.

As it turned out, Sunny moved around with ease and was able to keep up with the rest of our goat residents perfectly!
Often, guests would note that they didn't even realize he only has three legs until someone pointed it out.
