Matty came to us from the Animal Rescue League with his pals Otis and Leon. Shortly after their rescue, Matty's best friend, Leon, died. Matty was pretty depressed for a while, but he quickly made very close friends with some of our other rescued residents. We are unsure what kind of human contact Matty had in his short life before coming to IFS, but judging by his timidness, we are left to assume it wasn't the best. For many months, Matty would only let us close to him if we had treats. It has taken some time, but he has learned how to be loved.
