Rocco is part of The Liber8ed, a group of cows who survived a devastating transport truck accident outside of Washington, Iowa, and miraculously escaped the accident without any major injuries. He is the only member of the Liber8ed that we did not immediately have to take to the Iowa State University Large Animal Hospital, and for that reason he was the last one still wearing an ear tag. Rocco was slow to learn that humans can be trusted. We worked with him everyday. We really don't blame him at all for his distrust of us, but we loved watching him relax and settle in to his new home.
