Gennie is a beautiful, shy senior sheep. At the time of her surrender, Gennie was 12 years old. This precious gal has some age-related ailments, like having lost all of her teeth, but she’s remarkably spry for her advanced age. Gennie came to us from a small sheep farm in early Fall 2020 with her mother, Millie, and friends, Elsa and Leo. It’s highly unusual for biological families to be preserved in animal agriculture, so having both Gennie and her mother at the sanctuary was a rarity for which we are deeply thankful. 

Sadly, Millie has since passed on, but Gennie remains closely bonded to Elsa and Leo. She also took on “grandmother” status for Clifford when he arrived at the sanctuary as a very little lamb. We see the purity of Gennie’s heart in her every move.
