Max is part of The Liber8ed, a group of cows who survived a harrowing transport truck accident outside of Washington, Iowa in 2017— against all odds. Max experienced the most extensive injuries of the group; he had a broken jaw and broken bones surrounding his right eye, which left most of the right side of his face paralyzed. He was not a candidate for surgery, instead he received acupuncture and massages. Max is an incredible individual who has overcome so much adversity. Today he’s a healthy, happy, sweetheart of a steer. He’s made such a great recovery that you might not notice he’d been so badly injured unless someone told you!
