Sophia’s story is one of quiet resilience. Alongside her friends Blanche and Dorothy, she spent nearly five years without having her wool sheared. Covered in layers of filthy, matted wool, Sophia could barely move. Her previous guardian suffered a debilitating stroke and could no longer care for her and her two companions, Blanche and Dorothy.

Thanks to the compassion of a friend who ensured the sheep had food and water, Sophia made it safely to IFS. Upon arrival, Sophia and her two friends had over 100 pounds of wool sheared from their bodies, helping them breathe and move a little easier.

Today, Sophia is enjoying the simple joys of sanctuary life — soft grass under her feet, breezes through her fresh wool, and the gentle rhythm of healing. Your sponsorship gives her the continued care she needs to recover fully and live the peaceful life she’s always deserved.
